  • Chancellor Katehi announces the successful completion of the Campaign for UC Davis

A global leader in education, research and public service, UC Davis is in the midst of a bold effort to envision the University of the 21st Century, a university that is a true community of learners, inspired by innovation and discovery. A university that has the values, the goals, the resources, the financial sustainability and the discipline to keep UC Davis at the forefront of addressing society's needs at home, in our nation and around the world. 

Under Chancellor Katehi's leadership, a number of initiatives are underway to make the vision of the University of the 21st Century a reality. These initiatives include:

Enhanced Time to Degree Initiative

UC Davis has set a goal of increasing the four-year graduation rate from 55 to 75 percent. This will save students and their families money and free up space to provide access to more students who want a UC Davis education. Learn more . . .

Centers of Innovation in Education, Research, Scholarship and Administration

UC Davis is creating a discovery and innovation ecosystem that encourages trailblazing research and collaborations that bring together some of the best and most curious minds at UC Davis and around the world. Efforts include the World Food Center, the recently announced chemistry discovery complex, the UC Davis-Chile Life Sciences Innovation Center, the Innovation Institute for Food and HealthVenture Catalyst and the UC Davis Grand Challenges initiative. Visibility in Sacramento and the State Capitol

UC Davis plans to strengthen efforts in the policy arena and bolster its presence in Sacramento with a new campus in proximity to the state Capitol to more fully engage state leaders and the community in a search for innovation and discovery. Financial Sustainability Action Plan

UC Davis is enacting a 10-year Financial Sustainability Action Plan that pursues greater efficiencies, growth in research and fundraising and better investment strategies with the goal of generating up to $250 million per year to invest in our core academic mission. Learn more . . .

Long Range Development Plan

Strategic Plan for Diversity and Inclusion

UC Davis is 100 percent committed to building a campus community that is diverse and inclusive. As part of this commitment, UC Davis has embarked on a comprehensive effort to draft and implement a Strategic Plan for Diversity and Inclusion.
